So I'm still reading that...yes I know I'm an extremely slow reading, even my boyfriend noticed as we were reading the same book[him over my shoulder. me practically in his lap^^]. But I've known that for since Christmas, because for some odd reason I randomly started getting slow at reading again...I guess its because I have such a time pronouncing the words in my mind so quickly I feel as though I must be able to comprehend what the heck I'm reading^^

D. Gray-Man
It is one of my ultimate faves, right next to Naruto, Bleach, Ouran Host Club, Kekkaishi, and many more which would take way too long to put up! D. Grayman sum-up!

"Akuma, monsters born from dead souls mistakenly recalled by their loved ones to the living world, are the weapons of the Millenium Earl, who is intent on the destruction of the world. Allen Walker has been cursed with an anti-Akuma weapon as his left arm and an eye that sees the former soul of the Akuma since his youth. He is also one of the few who contain "Innocence", a substance that allows him to kill Akuma and fight the Earl. With these powers, he joins the Black Priest Organization as an Exorcist and sets out with other Exorcists to stop the Earl's attempts to annihilate the human race."

[Author=katsura hoshino]

"Cybele (Agdistis) and Attis

The cult of Cybele, also called the cult of the Great Mother, comes from Little Asia. During the Imperial Period this cult was especially popular among the Romans but not quite so among the Greeks who found it a little extreme.

One night the mighty god Zeus has a dream and he drops his semen on the ground. The Earth becomes pregnant and gives birth to the monster Cybele which is of both sexes. The gods fear this mysterious monster and the god of wine Dionysus is sent out to give it a vasectomy.

Dionysus gets the monster drunk and it falls asleep. The god of wine ties one end of a rope around to the monster’s male genitals and ties the other end to a tree. When the monster awakens, still intoxicated, it arises from the ground and its genitals are ripped off.

An almond tree grows from the limbs left behind. The daughter of the river god Sangario picks one of the almonds and lays it on her breasts. The almond disappears and the girl is impregnated and has a beautiful boy who is named Attis.

Attis grows up to be a gorgeous, young man. Cybele falls in love with Attis and shows up when Attis is to be wed to the king’s daughter. When Attis sees his mother…or father, he goes insane, castrates himself and dies.

Cybele mourns the death of her son and beloved. She begs Zeus, who actually is her father, to revive Attis. This is not within Zeus’ power but he manages to keep Attis’ body from rotting. Furthermore, Attis’ hair does not stop growing AND he can still move his pinky finger.

The priests of Cybele were possessed with her cult and recreated the destiny of Attis by castrating themselves. It is not strange that the cult was not popular in Greece."

Can you even imagine that unless you read it?!

Oh well, nite tired. ^-,-^

Left...& Marching...owie feet!

Okiez...*ahem*
Today I was marching with the band...my feet hurt! But not as much as I thought it would be, & I wasn't out of breath like I thought I would either^^;

Well, the library messed up on my book! I handed it to them & the toll is adding up on tab! Imbeciles! Oh well...I'll just have to do something about it on Monday. >.> And I can't read my book The Golden Book of Faerie although I'm paying for it!

Today's musics...are...Hoobastank, I just love their music, at the library I borrowed
The reason
Although I've already heard most of their cds. I still just love their music.

But other than that, I borrowed another book called Nefertiti by Nick Drake. Its actually quite interesting so far. Heres the brief.
"She is called "The Perfect One," the most famous and beautiful woman in the ancient world. She rules with her husband Akhenaten over the most powerful, sophisticated and affluent society the world has ever seen and across an empire that stretches from Africa through the Middle East.

But behind these glorious scenes an epic power struggle is taking place: Nefertiti and Akhenaten inaugurate an enlightened new religion and build a magnificent and mysterious new capital, Akhetaten, in which to worship the Sun God, the Aten. The delicate balance of power in Egypt is thrown into confusion. The priesthood is stripped of its traditional authority and wealth, the army is enraged by the growing turbulence in the empire, and the people resent the loss of their gods. Old alliances are brought into doubt, and generations of inherited power and wealth are suddenly at stake.

And then, just days before the crucial festival to celebrate the new capital, Nefertiti suddenly vanishes. Rai Rahotep, the youngest chief detective in the Thebes division, with a rising reputation for his original methods, is secretly assigned by Akhenaten himself to investigate. He has ten days to find the Queen and return her in time for the celebrations. Success will bring glory—but if Rai fails, he and his family will die. . . ."

I like it so far. hmm...still reading Runaways though I've just begun reading the third volume. Although...I don't think my school has the fourth v.v

Hmm....but today's manga is Moe Kare, because I've been reading it for a year. It basically translate to More Love.

"Summary

Sprinkles and Cream

SARA HELPEDED ME WITH READING & SOON TO EDIT STORIE!..Ducky.

I've began to write a story for the first time in months! Amazing what can happen if you put me in a quiet room for 11 hours....well I only used 5 of those hours to write the first chapter, but still. Anyway, its about a girl called Eliza, who falls asleep on a love story known as Eros and Psyche. She goes back 1000 years to a time of knights, but there's a catch! There are secret Empires spread throughout Europe. Eliza in her dreams takes the view point of a 14 year old girl reaching her 15th, or in other words known as womanhood, called Ema. In the Adelia, 6 guardian protect the land with mountainous cliffs, and the gift of protection within its walls from disease and the early deaths known throughout the lands outside of its walls. Ema is a young maid in the palace, and has many other secrets which separate her from the rest of the servants in the household or any other girl in Adelia.
How does this connect to Eliza other than being her dream? Well you'll have to find out in the interesting adventours of a young girl in the secret Empire of Adelia.

Ok...actually thats only 1/2 the storyline...I've actually begun to write out the second chapter, but I do claim this under creator's right for Victoria Leeder. Yeah that's me >.> Well, hopefully it'll become a novel someday, but I'll have to translate it from new English to Old someday...hopefully someone can help me!

Also, today's pictures have nothing to do with "Adelia", the first picture is Hookgrip Forest by HOON. And I felt like putting more up so here's, Beyond the Void by syncaidia, Girls by hiliuyun, & Eater of the Dead by mistressofspam.

But I should also mention that there will be fighting scenes in "Adelia" & plenty of them too. The only problem is...that I haven't placed The Empire of Adelia on any map just yet. So I need to do that, or make a multicultural society or maybe an entire new world?

Well there isn't much reading since I'm writing, but I suppose I might as well say that Dusk was AWESOME! I absoulutly loved it! Now to finish The Book of Dreams then I'm off to the Historians.
Hmm...might as well say what the Historians are, right?

"Summary
Amazon.com
If your pulse flutters at the thought of castle ruins and descents into crypts by moonlight, you will savor every creepy page of Elizabeth Kostova's long but beautifully structured thriller The Historian. The story opens in Amsterdam in 1972, when a teenage girl discovers a medieval book and a cache of yellowed letters in her diplomat father's library. The pages of the book are empty except for a woodcut of a dragon. The letters are addressed to: "My dear and unfortunate successor." When the girl confronts her father, he reluctantly confesses an unsettling story: his involvement, twenty years earlier, in a search for his graduate school mentor, who disappeared from his office only moments after confiding to Paul his certainty that Dracula--Vlad the Impaler, an inventively cruel ruler of Wallachia in the mid-15th century--was still alive. The story turns out to concern our narrator directly because Paul's collaborator in the search was a fellow student named Helen Rossi (the unacknowledged daughter of his mentor) and our narrator's long-dead mother, about whom she knows almost nothing. And then her father, leaving just a note, disappears also.

As well as numerous settings, both in and out of the East Bloc, Kostova has three basic story lines to keep straight--one from 1930, when Professor Bartolomew Rossi begins his dangerous research into Dracula, one from 1950, when Professor Rossi's student Paul takes up the scent, and the main narrative from 1972. The criss-crossing story lines mirror the political advances, retreats, triumphs, and losses that shaped Dracula's beleaguered homeland--sometimes with the Byzantines on top, sometimes the Ottomans, sometimes the rag-tag local tribes, or the Orthodox church, and sometimes a fresh conqueror like the Soviet Union.

Although the book is appropriately suspenseful and a delight to read--even the minor characters are distinctive and vividly seen--its most powerful moments are those that describe real horrors. Our narrator recalls that after reading descriptions of Vlad burning young boys or impaling "a large family," she tried to forget the words: "For all his attention to my historical education, my father had neglected to tell me this: history's terrible moments were real. I understand now, decades later, that he could never have told me. Only history itself can convince you of such a truth." The reader, although given a satisfying ending, gets a strong enough dose of European history to temper the usual comforts of the closing words. --Regina Marler."

Well I'm off to bed, night?...or is it morning? [don't look at the time!]

meh go bleh.

Hi... yeah that was random, today was...very fast to me. I also feel lonely when I'm away from people...never really noticed that before, oh well!~ Maybe its just a phase?
Okiez! My word is bleh, I created this word wanting to be an individual and to stop say meh all the time like most of my friends, that's why, even if it sounds weird, its my bleh. [which can mean anything I want *evil giggles* {that's mine too!}] Yeah I'm being silly.^^

But
other than that, today's pictures are, +Bonds of Death+ & Eros. [& Eros the lower one^^; with Phyche.]

So I'd like to talk about Eros, [*drool* >.> but anyway~[well sorta]]. Eros the god of love, truely knows what love is...for obvious reasons. Here's what www.theoi.com has to say about him^^

"EROS was the mischievous god of love, a minion and constant companion of the goddess Aphrodite.

The poet Hesiod first represents him as a cosmic who emerged self-born at the beginning of time to spur procreation. (See the Protogenos Eros and Phanes, for more information.) The same poet later describes two love-gods, Eros and Himeros (Desire), accompanying Aphrodite at her birth from the sea-foam. Some classical authors interpreted this to mean they were born of the goddess at her birth, or alongside her in the sea-foam. The scene was particular popular in art, where the pair flutter around the goddess seated in her floating conch-shell.

Eventually Eros was multiplied by ancient poets and artists into a host of Erotes or Cupids, as they are commonly called in English. The one Eros, however, remained distinct in myth. It was he who lighted the flame of love in the hearts of the gods and men, armed either with a bow and arrows or else a flaming torch. He was also the object of cult. Eros was often portrayed as a child, the disobedient, but fiercely loyal, son of Aphrodite.

In ancient vase painting Eros is depicted as either a handsome youth or as a child. His attributes were varied: from the usual bow and arrows, to the gifts of a lover--a hare, a sash, or a flower. Sculptors preferred the image of the bow-armed boy, whereas mosaic artists favoured the figure of a winged putto (plump baby)."

They're are stories of Eros such as one that I just LOVE, the legend known as Eros and Psyche, you can read the legend here. [That story makes me want a cookie ^>,<^]But one thing should be added, it is HIGHLY simlair to Beauty and the Beast, becasue it was pretty much created from this story...well that's what I heard from another site I was at^^ Well...right now there is a thunderstorm outside, I wish it would speak up once more, I just love thunderstorms, the problem with this one is that there is no lightning v.v
hmm... Let's see, today's book is the same as yesterday Dusk by Susan Gates. But I think music shall be Rush because that's what Ben brought in today at school and Three Doors Down as well, for Megan[They're friends of mine^^]. (And me sad because Rose can't come to the party because she isn't feeling well T.T).

Well, today's manga is Majin Devil "Oh! Great"[what/whoever that is!]

"The creature standing on top of the evolution system aren't human, but a creature named as Majin. Majin Devil is a story about a young nerd who fights against monsters of all sort, and eventually faces Majin who wants to take his body."

I liked the manga, beware alot of blood and horror... that includes... various monsters and mad scientist. Although the first few chapters begin with other people and bridge off to the nerd.

I really don't know what else to say, so yeh...nite?

& a personal favorite is called Forest by anikakinka.

hmm... today's book...is called, Dusk by susan gates.
"Dusk is more than just a girl—her DNA was fused with hawk genes in a military experiment to make the best warriors, resulting in traits like night vision. After 13 years of being held captive in a government lab, she escapes and hides in an abandoned town. There she lives in an uneasy truce with the other subjects who fled the lab: a horde of killer mutant rats and a clan of vicious guard dogs. Then one day, a boy named Jay stumbles into town. Will Dusk follow her human instincts and save Jay? Or will the hawk in her see an easy prey? In vivid prose, Susan Gates conjures a tale of science gone wrong that seems eerily realistic. As Dusk and Jay dance around both the local predators and each other, readers will find deep sympathy in their situation, even as they race through the pages to see what happens next."

hmm... today's music?
...is...hmm...I'll get back to you on that....OH, WAIT! Okies~ Today's music is GreenDay...just cuz I felt like it^^

Then theres the manga? Yes, I felt like reading alot today because I...sorta skipped out on some school today because the regular programs were messed up^^;[mommy's permission...sorta^^;]
Manga is, Full House Kiss, by Yuwa Shiori.

"Suzuhara Mugi is a 15 year-old on a mission. She is determined to somehow get onto the campus of Shoukei high school, one of those super, super elite high schools. This school is huge and private and has tight security. Mugi is searching for her missing sister--her only remaining family--and she has been led to believe that someone or something on the campus of that school will help her in her search. Unfortunately the strict school security is preventing her from getting onto the school grounds.

However, her luck changes when she literally runs into Midou-kun, the son of an insanely rich mega-corporation president, and elite person at the school. Midou is not impressed with Mugi’s sob story about needing to get into that school. He is a very smug and arrogant rich guy. But he can be reasonable, and he eventually strikes up a deal with Mugi--he will get her onto the school grounds in exchange for some labor on her part, that she must come to his house and work as a maid!"
